One statewide licensing authority, two classifications
Nevada licenses contractors statewide through the Nevada State Contractors Board (NSCB) — not a city-by-city system. Flooring specifically splits across two classifications: C-16a ("Covering Floors") for carpet, hardwood, LVP, and laminate, and C-20 ("Tiling") for ceramic and stone tile. A contractor who installs both carpet and tile plausibly needs both licenses.

A note on permits
Flooring installation and replacement is not generally a permitted activity in Reno, Sparks, or unincorporated Washoe County — unlike roofing or structural work, most flooring jobs don't require a building permit. If a job involves structural subfloor repair, that piece of the work may fall under separate rules; ask your contractor directly if that applies to your project.
What's outside the service area
Reno Flooring Pro matches requests within Reno and Sparks and the surrounding unincorporated Washoe County communities. It does not extend into the Lake Tahoe basin, Carson City, or California — this site's Nevada-specific legal content (NRS 624.720, NRS 624.970, and the NV Residential Recovery Fund) does not apply outside Nevada, and a different, established competitor already covers the Carson City/Tahoe corridor.
